Flying cars are now road legal

That’s right, you read that properly. The New Hampshire state legislature signed into law House Bill 1182 which makes it legal for “roadable aircraft”, which means cars with airplane wings, or other flying apparatuses, to be in the state of NH. NH is the very first state to legalize the so-called “flying cars”. Learn more at CarAndDriver.com

Definition of sexual assault has been updated

As of January 1st, 2021, the term sexual assault will also include sexual contact between school employees and students between ages 13 and 18. This is intended to close a loophole in the law. Learn more on WMUR.com

Increased protection for sexual assault victims

Other laws coming into effect on January 16th, 2021 increases protections for those victimized by sexual assault, and additionally requires universities and colleges to adopt sexual misconduct policies regarding dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and more. Epi-Pens must be covered by insurance

House Bill 1280 specifies that Epi-Pen brand injectors must be included in insurance plans. This means that those who purchased Epi-Pens through their own means as it was not covered by an insurance plan in the past will now be covered. The bill also specifies that co-pays and deductibles for Epi-Pen cannot be higher than comparable services. Learn more at ConcordMonitor.com

Police officers must report any misconduct

Police officers will be required by law, as of January 1st, 2021, to report any misconduct they see of their fellow officers. The misconduct must be reported to the officer’s chief. An officer cannot be retaliated against for making a report. Learn more at ConcordMonitor.com
